Get Down With Spring

March 15, 2016 Ordering, Purchase on Account Sarah

In just a few short weeks, the Spring 2016 version of Ascend will be available to all retailers. While we wait, we’ll spend some time this week giving you a preview of some of the great new features it’ll include. But you can always head to our Release Notes to check out the full list of changes.

PoA Payments: Have you configured custom payment types which customers can use for payments on their store accounts? Now you can apply these to the customers’ balance! The Payment toolbar in both transactions and the Purchase on Account will now display all payment types in the order you’ve specified.

On Order Details: Ever wondered where the heck an in-store product’s Qty. On Order number came from? In the Product Editor, select the Vendors tab – your location’s On Order details display in the bottom section of the screen. Want to go straight into the order? In Database Explorer > Products, just select the product by clicking on it once (not double-clicking), then select the On Order tab on the lower pane. Double-click the order in question to open it up.

Want to know what else is new for products? Check out our Spring 2016 Multi-Store Comparison or Spring 2016 Product Changes documents for all the details!

March Specials: Don’t forget, for the month of March only, get a special deal on any new driver’s license scanners purchased through us! The DS4308-DL corded scanner is just $325, and the DS6878-DL cordless scanner is $800.

Canadian retailers: we’re hard at work to get this function ready for you! In the meantime, make sure you’re ready – the DS4308-DL corded scanner is just C$416 this month and you can spring (get it?) for the cordless version for just C$1024.

These scanners can completely replace your existing barcode scanners and they make customer data capture a breeze. They can even help out with damaged barcodes. Contact the Support Team or email sales@ascendrms.com to order yours today.
