New Year, New Browser, New Winners
2016 is here. Seems like just yesterday that we added Customer Groups, an updated interface, and Reservations, but we’ve got much more in store for you this year. And to make it all happen, we need your help.
Feedback Welcome: In order to continue to provide you with meaningful updates and helpful support, we need to hear from you! Sure, there are things that we know we’d like to add (or change) in Ascend, but you (the users) are the ones on the front lines. Make sure to voice your opinions by participating in our feedback forum on UserVoice and check out the Ascend Customer Network to connect with our team and other retailers without having to pick up the phone.
As a way to measure our effectiveness, we will also be sending out a quick (two question) survey to many of you next week. It only takes a minute or two to fill out, but allows us to track our progress and makes sure that we’re doing everything we can to make your retail management dreams come true. So, keep your eyes peeled for the survey link next week and help us out by sending us your feedback.
Haven’t been getting our emails? Then you might not be on our list! If you’d like to be included, please send your email address with the subject “Opt-In” to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll take care of the rest.
Keep Up-To-Date: Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10 next week on January 12th. The end of support means that these older versions of Internet Explorer will no longer receive security updates or technical support, making anyone who uses them much more vulnerable to third-party attacks. But don’t worry, you can upgrade for free to IE 11 or Microsoft Edge (if you’re running Windows 10). You can also try these browsers from Google, Mozilla, and Opera.
And be sure to check for Windows updates at least once a month (weekly is better). Even if you’re set up to install updates automatically, a restart may be required to apply them. Not sure how to handle that? Check out this Help Topic we’ve put together for you.
Jackpot: Two weeks ago we added a new video to help guide you through the updated Work Order Details workflow and challenged you to finish the module on Ascend University by January 6th for a chance to win a Bontrager Balista helmet and a set of Bontrager Transmitr lights.
